Through a psychic bond with her brother, Gyutaro, they can only be vanquished if both of their heads are severed simultaneously.

8. Upper Moon 6 Kaigaku

During the Hashira training arc, Gyutaro and Daki were replaced by Kaigaiku, also known as Upper Moon 6. Kaigaiku had previously served as Zenitsu’s senior under Jigoro Kuwajima, the former Thunder Hashira. Despite being more skilled than Zenitsu in every aspect, Kaigaiku resented him for being their teacher’s favorite. 7. Upper Moon 6 Gyutaro

Gyutaro, the merciless demon, resided in the shadows of the Entertainment District, faithfully protecting Daki like an unwavering pillar. Throughout his demonic existence, he ended the lives of nearly 15 Hashira, ultimately leading to Tengen Uzui’s premature retirement. As a human, he faced constant disdain and hatred simply for his existence. However, his resilience reached its breaking point when the cruel world cruelly snatched away his beloved sister. Gyokko, the enigmatic demon, possesses an utterly peculiar visage and remains shrouded in mystery. He launched a formidable assault on the Swordsmith village, nearly obliterating it entirely. Fuelled by an unwavering fixation on fish, he commanded demonic creatures resembling aquatic life and unleashed relentless barrages of spine-projecting fish. Having spent a considerable amount of time by Muzan’s side, she took over as Upper Moon Four after Hantengu’s demise. Renowned for her extraordinary power to manipulate her surroundings, Nakime proved to be an exasperating adversary. She effortlessly held off two formidable Hashiras, making it appear effortless. However, her vulnerability lies in her lack of physical strength and endurance.

Hantengu, the original Upper Moon 4, along with Gyokko, led the raid on the Swordsmith village. At first, he appeared to be weak, but he turned out to be the more troublesome adversary. His unique ability is to split into different demons after being cut. Unfortunately, the demon slayers were slow to recognize his powers and continued to slice at the demons, only to find themselves surrounded by four more. The most frustrating part is that even beheading them wouldn’t kill them, as their actual bodies were elsewhere. 3. Upper Moon 3 Akaza

Akaza, the formidable demon, was responsible for the brutal demise of Flame Hashira Kyojirou Rengoku. However, unbeknownst to us, we would later find ourselves grieving for this very same demon in the series. During his youth as a mortal, Akaza resorted to thievery to fund his father’s medical expenses. Regrettably, his father eventually succumbed to the overwhelming guilt of living off ill-gotten gains and took his own life. Akaza endeavored to forge a fresh start with his master and her daughter, Koyuki, but tragically, even that was cruelly snatched away from him.

Akaza developed a deep psychological desire to become stronger and protect those dear to him. Prior to meeting Muzan, he had already gained a reputation as a demon for ruthlessly killing people with his bare hands. The process of demonification only fueled his hatred, erasing any remnants of his humanity. His remarkable reflexes were attributed to his ability to sense an individual’s fighting spirit. Additionally, his katana was uniquely crafted from his very own flesh, enabling him to elongate it at will. However, despite possessing an array of remarkable abilities, he was ultimately overwhelmed by the flames of retribution ignited by Yoriichi numerous centuries ago.
