Why Did Kiya Leave XOMG POP? The 13-Year-Old Exits the Group
XOMG POP, a girl group that gained popularity on America’s Got Talent, recently experienced a setback as one of their members, 13-year-old Kiya Barczyszyn, unexpectedly left the group. Notably, there has been no response from JoJo Siwa and her mother Jessalynn, who are the co-founders of the team. Kiya Barczyszyn’s notable contributions can be seen in Siwa’s Dance Pop Revolution (2021) as well as her previous appearance on America’s Got Talent back in 2006.
Currently, she calls Los Angeles, California her home. Amya Ashlyn, her sister, is also skilled in the art of dancing. Kiya, the group’s inaugural member, was first spotted on the reality show Siwa’s Dance Pop Revolution. Recently, she together with the rest of the group showcased their talents on America’s Got Talent, unfortunately falling short of the votes needed to proceed to the finals.
With a massive following of 60,000 on Instagram, Kiya is widely recognized on the platform. Recently, she made some changes to her profile, including updating the photo and bio. Initially, she removed any reference to XOMG POP, but interestingly, her bio now proudly declares her affiliation with the team. Additionally, Kiya seems to have unfollowed everyone in the group, including JoJo and Jessalynn Siwa, except for Dallas Skye.
Kiya’s mother seems to be selling her costumes, while the group continues to post TikToks without mentioning Kiya’s departure.
Why Did Kiya Leave XOMG POP?
Kiya’s dedicated supporters are absolutely heartbroken by the news of her departure from XOMGPOP. They are deeply saddened and concerned about her emotional well-being during this time. Although the exact reasons behind her departure remain a mystery, many fans strongly believe that both Kiya and her mother were let go from the group. Speculation is rampant, yet no concrete information has been confirmed. It is evident that Kiya’s absence has had a significant negative impact on the overall dynamics of the group.
Kiya possessed extraordinary light and talent. She embodied kindness, loyalty, and love, and had dedicated herself to earning this opportunity. As the girls’ leader, she consistently expressed her thoughts, exuding boundless energy and refraining from any negative remarks.
Fans of XOMG POP! are demanding that Team Siwa address the situation and give Kiya a deserving farewell. They have expressed their concerns by signing a petition, claiming that Kiya Barczyszyn, a beloved star of XOMG POP!, was unjustly let go by Team Siwa without any acknowledgement. Kiya has always been adored by the audience, and given Jess’ previous statement on the show, stating that a parent’s actions should not affect their child’s involvement in the group, the fans are questioning the decision to fire Kiya.
Many found the timing of the new video to be quite peculiar, causing speculation that Kiya might be seeking a solo venture. In the video, Kiya collaborates with choreographer Guy Groove, excluding her fellow XOMG team members. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that other group members have previously appeared in solo videos with Guy Groove, and he seems to have a friendly relationship with the Siwas. Thus, it is possible that the assumption may not hold true.
What is Kiya up to now?
Following her involvement with girl group XOMG POP! in the first half of 2022, Kiya Barczyszyn is now embarking on a solo journey, exploring her unique sound and immersing herself in exciting new projects that fuel her passion.
During an interview, Kiya expressed her excitement about becoming a solo artist and starting a new chapter in her life. She mentioned that she has been participating in numerous auditions, which is particularly thrilling since she hasn’t been heavily involved in acting for quite some time. Kiya revealed her aspiration to join a sitcom, as she grew up admiring Zendaya’s performances in Disney Channel shows like Shake It Up and K.C. Additionally, she is diligently learning to play both acoustic and electric guitar, while simultaneously working on creating her own original music.
