What Happens At The End Of Immanence Movie?

According to the devil’s words, only two would survive, and that proved true. Jonah and Naomi managed to escape the Bermuda Triangle. Unfortunately, Roman met his demise while struggling with Jonah, unintentionally stabbing himself in the chest. As Roman lay lifeless, Davis took advantage of the situation and struck Jonah, causing him to lose consciousness temporarily. During this time, Naomi battled with the conflicting thoughts in her mind. Ultimately, her conscience prevailed, and she aided Jonah in regaining consciousness. Now faced with the challenge of freeing themselves from the life raft, Davis retrieved a hacksaw to cut the chain since Roman had hidden the key and was now deceased, leaving them with no other choice.

Prior to Davis losing his sanity and assaulting Jonah, Naomi clarifies that she is designated to remain while the other two become the ones who survive. Without uttering a word, they all silently embrace this concept. Subsequently, Jonah seizes Naomi, confines her, and hurls her into the sea, while Davis severs the chain. In a hurried frenzy, Jonah embarks on a quest to retrieve the stopwatch. Although it may initially seem inconsequential, the stopwatch holds a spine-chilling secret that makes it one of the most unsettling elements of this film.

Naomi did not stay, it was Davis. At precisely 11:39, Jonah initiates the stopwatch and begins hoisting the rope that secures the cage. It is crucial to take a deep breath at this very moment. A captivating meteor shower unfolds before them, the very reason they journeyed here. However, none of them bear witness to this spectacle. Davis, who has just finished severing the chain, marvels at the scene before an unknown force strikes him. Instantaneously, he succumbs to death, leaving his lifeless eyes wide open and his cheek smeared in blood, with smoke emanating from a lingering wound. Perhaps the intention was to mislead the audience into thinking he was struck by a small fragment of a meteor, but the fact remains that he perishes.

After successfully pulling Naomi up, Jonah observes her motionless with closed eyes and no breath. Despite this, he continues to stare at her with hope. Just as the stopwatch hits three minutes, Naomi suddenly comes back to life. This moment reminds us of Jonah’s personal experience that solidified his belief in religion. Jonah, who was once a scuba diver, had drowned before and was pronounced dead by a medic. Miraculously, after three minutes, he was revived. During his near-death experience, Jonah encountered the devil himself, which ultimately led him to believe in the existence of God. It may seem ironic, but it is indeed a fact that witnessing Satan’s presence can naturally instill a belief in a higher power.

At precisely 11:39, the remarkable event of Jonah’s resurrection took place. It became evident that only the two individuals who held unwavering faith in God were able to endure the torment inflicted by Satan. Despite her inner turmoil caused by her father’s suicide, Naomi harbored a small glimmer of belief in herself. Her father’s final words, “The pursuit of God welcomes the devil,” echoed in her mind, leaving her feeling despondent.

By the will of God, both of them experienced death and yet managed to survive. The primary message conveyed by the conclusion of Immanence was to emphasize that faith in God can lead one out of even the deepest pits of hell. All it requires is unwavering trust in Him!

Was Jonah Satanic In Immanence?

Jonah is, in fact, a Christian. He had an extraordinary encounter with a divine being, albeit an evil one, which strengthened his faith. If you’re curious about why the devil or Satan claimed that you desired to see them again, here’s the explanation: it is a natural inclination for humans to be drawn towards witnessing something incredible, particularly when they have already experienced it before. Jonah continued to seek out divinity, irrespective of whether it manifested as good or evil.

During his initial introduction, he bears witness to a fraudulent exorcism. It appears as though he has grown weary of his fruitless search. However, his outlook changes abruptly when he receives a text from Davis. As he comprehends the crew’s mission aboard the ship, he recognizes it as a divine sign from God, urging him and others to witness the existence of the supernatural. In this film, science and religion converge, with science perceiving the supernatural as extraterrestrial beings, while religion views them as manifestations of God or perhaps the Devil.

The End Could Be Different

From my perspective, the ending of the Immanence movie could have taken a different turn, but the characters themselves ruined it. Consider this for a moment – they witnessed something sinister, perhaps a devil or a demon, both representing evil. And what does the devil do? It deceives and entices you towards sin. Satan cunningly presented the remaining four characters with a meticulously planned murder idea. He manipulated them into believing that he possesses knowledge of the future, and as a viewer, you might have also been lured into this deception. It is worth noting that Naomi’s mother’s illness is a current issue, which she is keeping hidden, making it highly plausible for Satan to be aware of it. All Satan talks about is Roman and his team making groundbreaking scientific discoveries.

In the movie, Satan portrayed his infamous character perfectly by instilling fear, desire, and deceiving the squad into committing sins. He cleverly manipulated them to recreate the scene they had witnessed on the other boat, with the chain cut, stopwatch, and Roman appearing lifeless. At that moment, it seemed as though they were genuinely glimpsing into their future on the other boat. However, upon realizing that they were actually encountering the king of evil, capable of all sorts of tricks, doubt began to creep in. Perhaps it wasn’t a glimpse into the future after all, but rather an instruction, a cunning trick to convince them that this was their only way out. Surprisingly, all of them managed to follow through with it, leading to only two survivors in the end. And those two were the only ones who had faith.
